About The Position
The Mobile Diesel Mechanic is a skilled technician who reports to the Wentzville, MO area, but travels to different locations to perform maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair diesel-powered vehicles. Essentially providing on-site service by traveling to our drivers instead of working in a stationary shop.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and Class A CDL required
- Extensive understanding of diesel engine mechanics, including fuel systems, electrical systems, hydraulics and transmission operations
- Ability to use diagnostic tools to accurately pinpoint mechanical issues
- Familiarity with a wide range of hand tools and power tools needed for diesel repairs
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective repair solutions
- Capability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, lift heavy components and perform physically demanding tasks
- Computer skills necessary to access repair manuals, parts catalogs and documentation
- Ability to service an area of up to 150 miles
Nice To Haves
- Welding/Fabrication experience preferred
- ASE certification preferred
