We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mobile Device Management (MDM) Administrator to manage and optimize our mobile device management infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our MDM solutions, ensuring secure and efficient access to corporate resources on mobile devices. This role requires a strong understanding of mobile operating systems, enterprise security best practices, and a commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences. This position may supervise MDM employees or contractors.

  • Administer and maintain the organization's Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform, including device enrollment, policy enforcement, application deployment to mobile devices, and security configurations for mobile endpoints.
  • Manage team of MDM employees or contractors.
  • Monitor MDM system health, performance, and security, proactively identifying and resolving issues related to mobile device management.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce mobile device security policies and compliance standards.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of mobile devices, from provisioning and deployment to decommissioning.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for MDM-related issues, collaborating with IT support teams as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest MDM technologies, industry trends, and mobile security threats.
  • Document MDM processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams (e.g., Security, Network, Applications) to ensure seamless integration of MDM solutions.
  • Assist in evaluating and recommending new MDM features or technologies to enhance capabilities and security for mobile devices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting complex technical issues related to mobile devices and MDM platforms.
  • Ability to supervise, train and mentor team and provide training to city departments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based MDM solutions.
  • Two years of professional level experience providing technical support for system infrastructure and/or software, plus one year working in a large-scale environment and supervising highly technical staff.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, math, electronic systems engineering or a related technical field.

  • Certifications in MDM technologies (e.g., Workspace ONE, Microsoft Intune for mobile).
  • Omnissa Workspace ONE (formerly VMware AirWatch), including but not limited to UEM console administration for mobile devices, device enrollment (BYOD, corporate-owned), mobile profile and compliance policy creation, mobile application management, and integration with enterprise services (e.g., Active Directory, email) for mobile access.
  • Enterprise mobility security concepts, including data encryption, access control, and compliance policies specific to mobile devices.
  • General Unified Endpoint Management solutions (UEM).
  • Scripting or automation tools for MDM administration.
  • 3+ years in MDM administration and support.
