About The Position

The Mobile Device Administrator 1 position at UW Medicine IT Services is responsible for the support and maintenance of mobile device technologies that facilitate clinical, financial, research, and administrative workflows. This role involves using centralized tools to deliver innovative mobile device solutions, ensuring high availability and security for end users. The position is hybrid, requiring three days a week onsite at the UW Medical Center - Montlake in Seattle, WA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • 2+ years of technology experience, including systems analysis, installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mobile devices.
  • 2+ years' experience with systems administration and production support.
  • Some experience with MDM systems administration.
  • Understanding of Active Directory architecture.
  • Familiarity with project management skills.
  • Experience in supporting the Microsoft suite of application software.
  • Knowledge of local and Wi-Fi network technologies.
  • Some experience working with hardware and software vendors.
  • Familiarity with large scale, complex systems.
  • Demonstrated experience working with teams in application deployment and support.
  • Strong communication skills to work with personnel of various technical backgrounds.

Responsibilities

  • Use standard to intermediate level centralized tools and technologies to deliver mobile device solutions.
  • Ensure efficient delivery of mobile device technologies supporting various workflows.
  • Provide customer support to end users for mobile device services.
  • Gather customer requirements and deploy new mobile device solutions.
  • Prepare, deliver, and maintain mobile devices for users.
  • Resolve application performance and interface issues.
  • Promote the implementation of ITS strategy focusing on standard technologies.
  • Provide standard application access and security activities.
  • Perform technical analysis on client systems.
  • Participate in the on-call schedule for a 24/7 production environment.
  • Train users and clients in Medical Center standard systems.
  • Provide secondary support in project coordination.
