About The Position

The Mobile Dental Unit Driver will play a crucial role in delivering dental services to underserved communities by safely transporting the mobile dental unit to various locations. This position requires a strong commitmentto community health, excellent driving skills, and collaboration with dental professionals and support staff.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in driving commercial vehicles or medical transport preferred.
  • Customer service.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Valid driver’s license that meets the requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting.
  • Must possess Class A or B CDL with Air Brake Endorsement.
  • The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).

Nice To Haves

  • Proven experience in customer service or community engagement preferred but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of dental terminology and procedures preferred but not required.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
