About The Position

- The Mobile Crisis Therapist II at LIFESKILLS GROUP is responsible for providing immediate mental health crisis intervention and support to individuals experiencing acute psychological distress. Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a mental health setting, preferably in crisis intervention or emergency services.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with severe mental health issues.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing high-stress situations and making quick, informed decisions.
  • Familiarity with community resources and ability to coordinate with various service providers.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills with the ability to evaluate mental health needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients, families, and team members.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficient in maintaining detailed and accurate records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Competency in using technology and electronic health records for documentation and communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to determine the needs and risks of individuals in crisis.
  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to stabilize clients and reduce immediate distress.
  • Develop and implement individualized crisis plans in collaboration with clients and their support systems.
  • Facilitate referrals and link clients to appropriate community resources and follow-up services.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including law enforcement, medical personnel, and social services, to coordinate care and ensure a holistic approach to crisis management.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions and interventions in accordance with organizational policies and professional standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in crisis intervention and mental health care.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families to enhance understanding of mental health issues and promote recovery and resilience.
