About The Position

Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare is expanding our 24/7/365 Mobile Crisis Team to better serve our community, and we're seeking a compassionate Part-Time Mobile Crisis Team Responder for All Shifts. As part of a team that responds directly to psychiatric crisis, you will help bridge individuals from crisis to recovery. If you're ready to make a meaningful impact, we want to hear from you. WHAT IS THIS POSITION RESPONSIBLE FOR? Respond to crisis phone calls, walk-ins on-site, and provide on-site risk assessments within Vanderburgh County. Complete comprehensive risk assessment, consult with supervisor and/or psychiatrist on-call for recommendations. Provide follow-up and care coordination for clients served. Mobile Crisis Team will provide a presence on-site at a specialized crisis shelter to monitor, engage, and coordinate referrals for participants.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field of study required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with interpersonal and writing skills.
  • Commitment to improving access of mental health services in our community.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Candidates must obtain and maintain crisis intervention and verbal de-escalation training.
  • Must have valid driver's license, auto insurance that meets the Indiana State minimum coverage requirement, and qualify for Company's vehicle liability insurance.
  • Candidates must pass required background checks including county/state checks, sex offender registry check, and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with mental health, addiction, and homeless population preferred.
