About The Position

UnityPoint Health is seeking compassionate and resilient individuals to join our Mobile Crisis Response Team. As a Mobile Crisis On-Call Counselor, you will provide on-site support and consultation to clients experiencing mental health crises in community or home settings. This role is vital in helping individuals achieve stability during critical moments. Current openings & locations: (3) Ft. Dodge, IA - The shifts range from 7a-3p, 3p-11p and 11p-7a daily. Requirements

  • Must meet one of the following:
  • Mental health professional as defined in Iowa Code section 228.1
  • Bachelor’s degree; or
  • Associate’s degree; or
  • High school diploma
  • Mental health professional: 1 year of mental health experience
  • Bachelor’s in human services: 1 year
  • Bachelor’s in non-human services: 2 years
  • Associate’s degree: 2 years
  • High school diploma: 2 years
  • Valid driver’s license and compliance with Eyerly Ball’s auto insurance policy
  • Must pass criminal records and dependent adult/child abuse checks

Responsibilities

  • Deliver immediate intervention and support to clients in crisis at the location where the crisis is occurring
  • Complete all required data entry and documentation in accordance with agency policy
  • Be reachable by phone and ready to respond within a 1-hour radius, coordinating with your on-call partner
  • Uphold UnityPoint Health values, maintain required certifications, and adhere to HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines
