About The Position

ULicensed Social Workers - LCSW or Licensed Professional Counselor LPC - for a face-to-face mobile behavioral health role in Clayton County. Staff will work alongside Clayton county police staff to provide onsite clinical support.

Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited school with a valid license in the state of Georgia as an LCSW or an LPC.
• Minimum 2 years direct behavioral health experience and mobile response experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of DSM V diagnosis, inpatient psychiatric treatment protocols, brief therapy and chemical intervention protocols and skills, medical models, and psychotropic medications.
• Familiarity with full range of treatment options and mental health service delivery systems.
• Experience with Mobile Response and working with Mental Health and/or law enforcement is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as first responder providing community-based, face-to-face, rapid response to children and adults with behavioral health conditions, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in an active state of crisis provided in community settings.
• Assist in deescalating the crisis through the provision of support to the individual and the officer.
• Provide assistance to the individual/family/caregivers in developing a crisis plan to decrease the potential for future crisis occurrences.
• Identify and, when possible, link the individual to needed community resources required to meet immediate and/or ongoing needs.
• Complete 1013's as appropriate.
