About The Position

The PRN Clinician reports to the Mobile Crisis Management Clinical Director or Administrative Director and is responsible for ensuring the maintenance of all minimum standards of Mobile Crisis Management. This role involves providing clinical oversight for field staff, assisting in care recommendations, crisis planning, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. The clinician must be familiar with TA, Inc. policies, HIPAA regulations, and consumer rights, while also maintaining confidentiality and consumer dignity.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a college or university with a Master's degree in Social Work.
  • Two years of full-time, post-master's degree accumulated MH/DD/SA experience with the population served.
  • Full or provisional licensure in the state of North Carolina in good standing.
  • Minimum of one (1) year's experience in providing crisis management services in relevant settings.
  • Twenty (20) hours of training in appropriate crisis intervention strategies within the first 90 days of employment.
  • QP status and prior supervisory experience in the mental health field.
  • No substantiated findings on the NC Personnel Registry/Health Care Program.
  • Not listed on the HHS/OIG List of Excluded Individual/Entities.
  • SBI and DMV records must meet the requirements of area mental health contracts.
  • At least 8 full years of driving experience and able to meet liability carrier's requirements for coverage.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull a minimum of 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Reports directly to the Mobile Crisis Management Clinical and Administrative Director.
  • Receives supervision from Mobile Crisis Management Clinical or Administrative Director or Designee.
  • Provides clinical oversight for field staff, following all proper policy, procedure, and protocol.
  • Assists field staff in making appropriate recommendations for care and disposition planning.
  • Advises on IVC process and assists with crisis planning.
  • Advises on potential DSS reports.
  • Assists in determining appropriateness of calls as requested by dispatch.
  • Provides clinical oversight in absence of Mobile Crisis Management Director.
  • Must be credentialed through CAQH.
  • Familiarizes with TA, Inc. policies and procedures, including emergency services and medication administration regulations.
  • Ensures consumer's rights are met and maintains consumer confidentiality.
  • Helps maintain the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each recipient.
  • Obtains and keeps current all training required by the agency.
  • Performs other duties as required by circumstances.
  • Practices and promotes the policies and procedures of Therapeutic Alternatives, Inc.
  • Attends meetings and in-services for continuing education regarding consumer rights, choices, and outcomes.
  • Respects and maintains the confidentiality of all consumer information.
  • Is polite and courteous to all consumers, guests, and staff.
