Our Crisis Team is looking to hire qualified crisis counselors for our Mobile Crisis Team! The Mobile Crisis Counselor II provides crisis intervention, suicide prevention, risk assessment, and brief supportive counseling over the phone and in-person on a basis to clients who are experiencing emotional distress, suicidal ideation, and/or seeking information on available mental health services. The Crisis Counselor actively partners with community resources to enhance available support and maintains detailed records of interactions with individuals.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work or related field from an accredited college.
  • Work experience in a behavioral or mental health setting preferred.
  • QMHP certification or registration with MHACBO required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in crisis intervention.
  • Familiarity with community mental health resources.

Responsibilities

  • Provide crisis intervention and suicide prevention services.
  • Conduct risk assessments and brief supportive counseling.
  • Assist clients experiencing emotional distress and suicidal ideation.
