About The Position

North Suffolk's Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC) - Mobile Crisis Intervention Program is seeking a Mobile Crisis Clinician for weekend and/or overnight per diem shifts at their East Boston location. This role involves providing direct emergency psychiatric clinical services to youth and their families, as well as coordination and consultation with other care providers in collaboration with emergency services staff. This is a mobile position, requiring travel to clients, with an expectation of some on-site shifts and on-site response. The commute to work must be easily completed within an hour, even during rush hour traffic. Overnight hours are 11pm-7am.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology or other relevant Medicaid reimbursable clinical specialty required.
Minimum one (1) year in a psychiatric emergency service or similar setting required.
Must have access to a car and possess a valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

Valid independent clinical license (LICSW/LMHC) preferred
Spanish/Brazilian Portuguese speaking applicants strongly encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities

Provide support, coordination of disposition planning and treatment service for the duration of the MCI episode of care according to clinical need.
Fulfill aspects of YMCI (Youth Mobile Crisis Intervention) ESP specifications, which require in-home crisis intervention with youth and families.
Coordinate follow up with other staff members of the Emergency Services Program to insure needs of youth and family are met to reduce crisis.
Provide direct mobile and on site psychiatric clinical services in coordination with other community service providers.
Evaluate clients in terms of setting and treatment plan which includes evaluation and developing a treatment plan.
Asses crisis or emergency situations and intervene immediately with appropriate treatment for clients.
