About The Position

Mobile Associates (MA) are members of a Retail Team of Experts who bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They act as brand ambassadors, generating energy and excitement around products and services. They are passionate about the connected world and thrive in a dynamic environment where technology, customer needs, and the retail experience are constantly evolving. MAs focus on building significant connections with customers, excelling at establishing new relationships and deepening existing ones within the wireless industry. They continuously develop expertise in identifying customer needs and are dedicated to educating, demonstrating, and recommending device and service solutions. This is a learning role, where new associates build skills and proficiencies with their team, preparing for advancement to a Mobile Expert role. Successful completion of new employee training is required for Mobile Associates.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience
  • Passionate customer advocate with the desire to be yourself when connecting and having fun doing it!
  • Competitive drive and proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Willingness to work alongside peers and store leaders, learning and sharing ideas, while serving customers and providing resolutions to issues.
  • Effective at balancing customer needs and performance goals.
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Builds proficiency related to serving and selling to customers, while providing a world-class customer experience and building loyalty.
  • Helps customers pick up where they left off in their shopping journey, whether online, through Customer Care, or in-store.
  • Explores individual needs and provides hands-on demonstrations of the latest technology in-store.
  • Engages in side-by-side selling to find personalized solutions beyond basic devices and service plans, connecting customers to their lifestyle, including accessories and IoT devices.
  • Approaches service and sales needs with composure, integrity, and compassion.
  • Becomes skilled with and consistently uses digital tools in interactions and onboarding.
  • Actively demonstrates how T-Mobile's coverage performs in the customer's neighborhood, highlighting the lightning-fast LTE network.
  • Explains why T-Mobile plans and services offer unlimited living, customer satisfaction, connectivity, and extended reach.
  • Completes training on T-Mobile's in-store experience, new skills, processes, systems, and reference resources.
  • Maximizes time on shift by continuously seeking information between customers, learning about wireless and technology innovations.
  • Establishes relationships with and partners with T-Mobile employees across channels, including business and customer service.
  • Collectively owns the customer experience and resolves issues, creating a seamless environment.
  • Successfully identifies and hands off small business leads.
  • Supports team initiatives and fosters an inclusive environment.
