About The Position

Provides assessment services to all individuals wishing to receive mental health services through St. Bernards Behavioral Health. Involves a thorough understanding of criteria necessary to justify inpatient stays. Provision of services requires a one on one encounter with patients and a working knowledge of services available throughout Northeast Arkansas.

Requirements

• Masters degree in a clinical field (i.e. counseling, social work, psychology, nursing) preferred.
• Licensure as Social Worker, Counselor or Registered Nurse in the state of Arkansas.
• A minimum of one-year experience in a clinical or behavioral health field.
• Demonstrated ability to interface well with members of other departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment services to individuals seeking mental health services.
• Understand criteria necessary to justify inpatient stays.
• Engage in one-on-one encounters with patients.
• Coordinate with other departments for patient admission and discharge planning.
