About The Position

As a Mobile Architect at DraftKings, you will lead the architecture of scalable and resilient mobile solutions for iOS and Android platforms. This role involves guiding engineering teams, defining architectural visions, and ensuring that all solutions meet both technical and business requirements. You will be responsible for delivering end-to-end solutions and driving technological strategies for sportsbook applications.

Requirements

• Proven experience in technology leadership roles such as Architect, Tech Lead, or Team Lead.
• Strong ability to design, build, and operate scalable, robust systems.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills to translate ambiguous inputs into actionable plans.
• Deep expertise in mobile application development with proficiency in Swift or Kotlin.
• At least 7 years in mobile application architecture with a track record of high-load applications.
• A collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Guide iOS and Android engineering teams to ensure consistent application of architectural principles.
• Compose architectural solutions and documentation of high-level mobile product specifications, focusing on scalability and fault tolerance.
• Proactively seek feedback from the Engineering team to understand the needs of internal customers.
• Engage with internal teams to identify technical enablers and architectural needs for future mobile features.
• Monitor technical solution maturity and ensure proper client back-end communication patterns.
• Oversee operational stability for mobile applications, ensuring high performance and monitoring practices are in place.
• Conduct technological POCs and investigations.
