About The Position

Lennox International Inc. is seeking a Mobile Application Developer Lead for a hybrid role based in Richardson, TX. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of mobile applications and embedded software components. This role involves advanced engineering design related to systems software for embedded systems, electronic components, and control systems. The candidate will handle the architecture and design of mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms, focusing on HVAC controls functionality to interface with various heating and cooling systems. The position requires facilitating the development of software design specifications, providing technical leadership, and ensuring the execution and deliverables of product development and release.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 7 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer/Developer, Technical Lead, or in a related/similar position.
• 7 years in software development and debugging on embedded systems.
• Experience developing mobile applications for Android or iOS platform using object-oriented programming methodologies.
• Proficiency in Java, Linux, xCode, HTML, C, C++, Objective-C, and JTAG debugging.
• 5 years using JSON, Python, and Android Studio.
• 2 years in building clients on top of RESTful JSON-based APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications and embedded software components.

• Handle the architecture and design of mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms.

• Innovate and standardize HVAC control via mobile applications.
• Work on the development of controls in future multi-generation product lines and technology roadmaps.
• Ensure execution and deliverables of product development and release.
• Determine product and system feasibility by designing and evaluating prototypes and simulations.
• Investigate and study relevant technology and customer trends.
• Participate in design reviews and code reviews.
• Implement software components based on applicable specifications and design.
