Arthrex, Inc. is a global leader in medical device development and education in orthopedics, and we are currently seeking a Laser EDM Machine Operator I for our Weekend Shift at the Pendleton, SC facility. This position is crucial for producing high-quality products in accordance with our established machining processes and procedures. The successful candidate will work from Friday to Sunday, from 6 am to 6 pm, contributing to our mission of Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™. A High School Diploma is required, and while previous manufacturing experience is preferred, we are looking for individuals who are eager to learn and grow within our organization. As a Laser EDM Machine Operator I, you will be responsible for operating various machines including Assembly, Laser Mark, Laser Weld, and EDM equipment. You will follow detailed work instructions and ensure that all machined work pieces meet the specified quality standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail, as you will inspect work pieces based on correct Acceptable Quality Levels (AQL) and verify that all inspection tools are available and accurate. You will also be responsible for receiving and verifying work orders, notifying supervisors of any equipment issues, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. Accuracy in documentation is essential, as is the ability to meet production and quality standards consistently. In addition to technical skills, the position demands strong communication abilities, as you will need to effectively convey ideas and issues to team members and management. You will also be expected to work independently when necessary and demonstrate good housekeeping practices. The physical demands of the job include lifting and moving objects of varying weights, and you will be working in an environment that may expose you to mechanical parts, fumes, and moderate noise levels.
