The Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) is responsible for performing all aspects of testing on patient samples to detect the absence or presence of various diseases. This role involves examining different types of samples, including body fluids, feces, cells, and tissues. Upon conclusion of the testing, the MLS will report back to the ordering physician and consult about the results.
