The position involves developing and teaching courses in the Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) Program. Responsibilities include preparing course materials such as syllabi, lecture materials, quizzes, exams, lab procedures, and practical materials.   • Develop and teach courses in the Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) Program.
  • Prepare materials including syllabi, lecture materials, quizzes, exams, lab procedures, and practical materials.
  • Manage, review, and revise the MLS admissions process, program brochure, and catalog page.
  • Review and analyze graduation placement and attrition rates.
  • Prepare, distribute, and collect Graduate Surveys, evaluating data for curriculum changes.
  • Review, analyze, and document employment rates.
  • Prepare, distribute, collect, and evaluate Employer Surveys.
  • Manage and analyze ASCP BOC MLS exam results.
  • Manage evaluations and analyze results for advisory committee distribution.
  • Ensure program webpage is updated annually with current statistics.
  • Update MLS Student Handbook for each starting class.
  • Prepare and attend MLS Advisory Committee meetings and Information Sessions.
  • Review and revise MLS Assessment and Continuous Quality Improvement Plan.
  • Maintain NAACLS accreditation of the program.
  • Manage Self-Study and Site Visit per NAACLS requirements.
  • Ensure student laboratory meets NAACLS standards.
  • Ensure clinical practicum course materials address entry-level competency.
  • Review affiliation agreements for compliance with NAACLS.
  • Oversee the MLS program budget.
  • Master's degree in healthcare related field.
  • 5 years of experience with a minimum of 1 year supervisory experience in a laboratory.
  • 3 years teaching experience, including training staff.
  • Knowledge of education methods and administration.
  • Current NAACLS accreditation procedures and certification procedures.
  • ASCP in Medical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology.
  • Knowledge of Cerner Laboratory Information System (LIS).
