The Multilingual Learner (MLL) Instructional Coach supports the development and implementation of high-quality, inclusive, and language-rich instruction across grades PreK–12. The coach works collaboratively with educators and school leaders to build capacity in effective instructional practices that simultaneously support content and language development. The MLL Instructional Coach models and promotes asset-based approaches, scaffolding, and culturally and linguistically responsive teaching to ensure that all multilingual learners are supported in achieving their full academic potential. The coach plays a critical role in the district’s efforts to close opportunity gaps, promote equity, and provide professional learning opportunities focused on strengthening instruction for multilingual learners. This role requires a deep understanding of language acquisition, culturally responsive pedagogy, and the ability to build trusting, collaborative relationships with educators across all levels.
