About The Position

This role is designed for a highly experienced machine learning professional who thrives in building large-scale, cutting-edge personalization systems. You will work in a remote-first, high-performance environment, leading the design and deployment of innovative ML solutions that directly impact business outcomes. The position combines hands-on engineering, technical mentorship, and strategic influence, allowing you to shape ML architecture and personalization strategies across teams. You will tackle complex challenges, such as real-time learning, cold-start problems, and exploration/exploitation tradeoffs, using state-of-the-art techniques. Strong leadership, vision, and deep technical expertise in ML domains are essential for success. This role provides the opportunity to represent your work externally and contribute to thought leadership in the ML community.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience designing, developing, and deploying large-scale machine learning systems with a focus on personalization.
• Deep expertise across multiple ML domains, including deep learning, causal inference, multi-armed bandits, and graph-based models.
• Proven track record of building production ML platforms serving billions of predictions.
• Experience in 0→1 innovation in personalization or recommender systems.
• Strong leadership, mentorship, and technical influence abilities, including guiding cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex research into production-ready solutions.

Responsibilities

• Establish technical vision for personalization, defining company-wide ML strategy and architecture.
• Design and implement large-scale ML systems, including graph neural networks, causal models, and bandit algorithms.
• Solve complex ML challenges, such as cold-start, real-time learning, and adaptive exploration/exploitation.
• Create and enforce ML architecture patterns, design standards, and reusable infrastructure across teams.
• Lead multi-quarter, cross-functional initiatives that impact core business KPIs.
• Mentor senior ML engineers, fostering skill growth and raising the technical bar.
• Champion privacy-preserving personalization and responsible AI practices.
