About The Position

K-FLEX USA is the North American division of the IK Insulation Group, an innovative leader in flexible elastomeric foam insulation with 12 production facilities worldwide and a distribution channel that reaches 43 countries. K-FLEX manufactures thermal and acoustic insulation and jacketing systems that allow for an efficient installation process and deliver reliable and lasting performance on pipes, ducts, vessels and equipment for a wide range of applications, including HVAC, Refrigeration and Industrial Process Systems. The mixing operator operates the Banbury (mixture) and mill, runs batch off, and doses chemicals. Performs all functions associated with final and master batch production.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
  • High degree of attention to detail.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow safety and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) information.
  • Ability to perform basic math and measurement calculations.
  • Ability to communicate in a manufacturing environment.
  • Possess the ability to work effectively with others.

Responsibilities

  • Learn to operate machines that require some set up and decision making.
  • Executes the production plan.
  • Performs routine setups, adjustments, and troubleshooting.
  • Performs operations with specific detailed instructions and directions.
  • Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure that product specifications are adhered to as related to product quality and packaging requirements.
  • Occasionally operate a forklift for material loading and unloading.
  • Perform all other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
  • Strictly follow safety protocols for the department.
