About The Position

The Mixing Machine Operator utilizes assorted equipment to blend ingredients into juice product for processing while following exact product specifications and recipes. This is a full-time, 1st shift, non-exempt position.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
Previous manufacturing, warehouse or retail work experience preferred but will train the right candidate!
Must be detail oriented and quick learner
Must be able to effectively communicate
Ability to follow instructions and work within deadlines
Ability to work alone or as a member of a team, good cooperative skills
Ability to communicate verbally and by written reports

Responsibilities

Operate and tend equipment to blend juice based on specific formulations; and appropriately record within batch sheet
Operate computer control panel, or manually open valves, and initiate flow of juice through pasteurizing equipment into designated tanks
Ensure compliance to plant policies and Federal and State regulations including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP)/Hazard Analysis and Risk-Based Preventive Controls (HARPC) and document pasteurization process
Perform periodic tests to ensure product quality and adherence to formulation
Document test results; communicate deviations to management and co-workers
Perform periodic change over and clean up procedures; utilizing the Cleaning in Place (CIP) system to include thorough documentation of all processes and procedures
Stage ingredients prior to start of blend utilizing standard operating procedures for blending processes
Report actual usage in the Business Planning and Control System (BPCS) software system and resolve any variances in distribution
Perform physical ingredient inventory as needed/directed
Maintain temperature records in refrigerated warehouse and tempering logs
Adhere to quality and safety standards
Other duties and/or special projects as assigned
