The Mixing Center Inventory Control Manager at American Tire Distributors is responsible for overseeing inventory integrity and managing the day-to-day activities of Inventory Coordinators. This role involves executing corporate inventory programs, conducting physical inventories, and ensuring compliance with inventory procedures. The manager will lead a team, resolve discrepancies, and collaborate with various departments to maintain efficient inventory operations.

  • Oversee the integrity of inventory through corporate programs and physical inventory execution.
  • Manage day-to-day activities of Inventory Coordinator(s) and Dispatcher.
  • Ensure completion of scheduled cycle counts and maintain the integrity of the locator system.
  • Reconcile pick exceptions and schedule inventory cycle counts as needed.
  • Research and resolve ISO discrepancies reported from distribution centers.
  • Prepare and execute the mixing center's annual physical inventory.
  • Select, recruit, train, and mentor associates for development growth.
  • Review cycle count pending to ensure accurate inventory counts and approval entries in the ORACLE system.
  • Coordinate with logistics on shipping discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with local management to ensure compliance with inventory procedures.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred; college degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in inventory control.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and time management abilities.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team.
  • Experience in behavior-based management of processes.
  • Familiarity with current materials, methods, tools, and equipment used in distribution operations.
