About The Position

Mixer Truck Driver his Mixer Truck Driver operates the ready-mix concrete truck delivering to the Precast Plant. RESPONSIBILITIES  Deliver concrete to production area according to direction from bed personnel  Coordinate pouring of concrete with designated production area associates  Check fluid levels, perform minor maintenance on truck or request maintenance when necessary  Maintain preventative maintenance program on all batch plant equipment  Operate mixer on truck, make judgements regarding the slumps of concrete  Operate loader and help with plant maintenance when needed  Meet production concrete delivery schedules  Use computerized batching systems  Properly load truck, drive truck safely in yard, discharge concrete from truck to forms  Housekeeping as necessary to maintain work area, tools and equipment in a clean and orderly manner  Must adhere to all Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations SCOPE OF AUTHORITY  Supervised  Tasks are typically assigned  Works as a member of a team CHARACTERISTICS (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)  Highly dependable with strong work ethic  Able to read a tape measure preferred  Able to use standard construction tools preferred  Able to operate heavy equipment  Experience operating a concrete mixer truck preferred  Able to read blueprints preferred  Able to work on a team  Able to understand and follow verbal instructions  Basic math skills  Able to read and write  Attention to detail and accuracy  Eager to learn  Able to adapt to changes in work schedules, tasks, or processes  Values and demonstrates safe working behaviors EDUCATION AND TECHNOLOGY  High school diploma or equivalent preferred
