About The Position

The position is focused on promoting a work environment within the Operations Department that consistently delivers a World Class Experience during the delivery of concrete. The individual will be responsible for delivering quality concrete safely and efficiently while adhering to all Federal, State, and local laws. This includes maintaining a professional demeanor, performing inspections, and ensuring the proper handling and delivery of concrete products.

Requirements

• Ability to report to work on time and on a regular basis
• Ability to represent Lauren Concrete in a professional manner in a variety of settings and circumstances
• Ability to be responsive to the expressed and unexpressed wishes and needs of customers
• Ability to understand complex functions, procedures, and processes
• Ability to express oneself clearly and concisely
• Ability to accept responsibility for quality and accuracy of personal work
• Ability to lift 45 - 70 lbs. several times a day
• Ability to climb up and down stairs up to 10 feet
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
• Ability to obtain a valid medical examiner's card

Nice To Haves

• One to three years of similar or related experience preferred
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a current Commercial Driver's License (minimum class B)
• Valid State of Texas commercial driver's license required along with a 'violation-free' Department of Motor Vehicle record

Responsibilities

• Display a positive attitude, a professional appearance and demeanor on all jobs with all customers, both internally and externally
• Perform pre-trip inspections: clean windshield, side windows, mirrors and cameras each time before leaving the plant or job site, check for fluid leaks, and consult Driver Vehicle Inspection Report notebook
• Confirm job site address prior to departure
• Maintain a clean truck interior and exterior
• Responsible for the process of loading, handling, delivering and unloading of the product, including the slump, load tickets, revolutions, chutes, admixes, etc.
• Perform post-trip inspection, notifying plant manager of maintenance needs
• Understand and/or knowledge with operation of Electronic Logging Device (ELD)
• Foster a supportive role towards Lauren Concrete's mission statement and core values
• Support a positive and productive work environment and demonstrate a positive example for others
• Perform all other related duties, as assigned
