About The Position

Carroll Concrete is a family-owned and operated company with over 50 years of experience in the industry. We are committed to providing superior service to our customers and a safe, fulfilling work environment for our staff. We are currently seeking a Mixer Driver to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a valid CDL Class B Driver's License, although we are willing to pay for you to obtain this license with a 2-year commitment. Mixer driving experience is preferred, but we are open to training the right individual.

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class B Driver's License or willingness to obtain with a 2-year commitment
• Driving record within tolerable insurability limits
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Ability to pass a DOT drug screening and alcohol testing
• Maintain DOT physical card
• Ability to lift/maneuver a minimum of 50 pounds multiple times throughout the workday
• Ability to maneuver in and out of truck safely
• Ability to clean all areas on vehicle
• Ability to climb ladder to inspect loads of ready mixed concrete
• Ability to load/unload/carry chutes across a variety of terrain multiple times throughout the workday
• Ability to manipulate all truck controls safely and accurately
• Ability to perform multiple tasks of sustained viewing activity at rear of truck utilizing side mount mirrors or cameras while driving
• Ability to work flexible hours as necessary
• Ability to perform other tasks as directed by Management within the realm of capabilities

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of mixer on and off road
• Knowledge and ability to mix and unload concrete
• Responsible for documentation of materials delivered, accurate record of time, water added to concrete, funds collected, and ticketing
• Clean and maintain company vehicles including performing pre and post trip inspections, weekly and general vehicle maintenance, and proper cleaning and washout
• Plant/Yard maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned
• Successful completion of Carroll Concrete's Driver Training Program
