About The Position

A Mixed-Signal Electronic Design Engineer designs, develops, tests, and oversees the manufacturing of electrical printed circuit boards (PCBs), analog and digital circuits, electronic equipment, sensors, motors, radar and navigation systems. The Tailored Systems Business Area within Electronics Program Office directorate delivers first-of-a-kind field-ready microelectronics solutions in support of National Security missions. The Draper team is chartered with supporting the Nation’s most challenging problems by 1) providing an iterative and agile approach to innovative and creative technical solutions delivered at the speed of mission and 2) driving leading edge technology development efforts to support future mission needs. This role will support a large multi-disciplinary team as part of a long-standing, fast-paced contract with history of immense success. You will: Support system architecture design and trade studies Will review and support proposal development and project execution Understand detailed electrical analysis and design for mixed-signal electronics Schematic capture, simulation, and PCB layout/oversight, prototypes bring up and debugging, functional verification and performance characterization

Requirements

  • Proficiency in electronic design, microprocessor or embedded computing.
  • Understanding of design and general computer architecture.

  • Familiarity with signal and power integrity analysis tools (Hyperlinx, Ansys).
  • Ability to understand and influence packaging design constraints and requirements for custom designs.
  • Requires onsite in Cambridge, MA.
  • Applicants selected for this position may be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 0-2 years experience in Electronic or Electrical Engineering or related.

Responsibilities

  • Translate project and system requirements into well-defined hardware architectures working with cross-functional teams.

  • Build and test prototypes, debug, and prepare documentation for manufacturing, and support.

  • Independently executes assignments under the oversight of program leadership.

  • Contributes content for technical reports and presentations with appropriate guidance.
  • Adapt appropriately to changes in program requirements.
  • Identify challenges associated with assigned work and communicate them to project leadership.
