About The Position

Position Purpose:
Responsible for unloading of inbound bulk/liquid tankers and routing of hazardous waste to appropriate destinations in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies to ensure that end product meets the specifications for disposal in an efficient and effective manner.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• No unsatisfactory work performance issues and must be qualified in current position (6) months or more
• Currently holding or previously held a position which by definition of task and/or area required person to be trained to level of hazardous waste operator
• Minimum one to two years process operations experience preferred
• Minimum six months heavy equipment operations preferred
• Must be able to pass a respirator fit test
• Must be able to perform the job requirements and pass a verbal and/or written skill/proficiency test for the position within a reasonable orientation/training period set by Supervisor.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good math aptitude.
• 40-Hour HAZWOPER training

Responsibilities

• Be able to perform all job duties of a Mix Operator I
• Serves as relief operator for Lead Mix Operator
• Train or assist in the training, development, and sign-off of other operators within this group and below.
• Must be able to perform RCRA area inspections
• Coordinate with the area operators to resolve any discrepancies found during the unit inspections (RCRA , H&S, Housekeeping) and ensure that they are all being remediated.
• Perform lockout/tagout procedures on designated equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
