Must produce quality batches of dough for various product lines, while producing batches timely in order to ensure no interuption or loss of production

Requirements

  • Must be self-motivated, able to problem solve, detail-oriented, and able to stay on task.

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to read & write English to ensure compliance with formulas.
  • Ability to comprehend, understand and utilize the operations of scaling equipment.
  • Able to work in other jobs as assigned by supervisor when required.
  • Good basic math skills.
  • Legible handwriting.
  • Ability to feel and understand wet or dry product differences.
  • Must be in good physical condition in order to stand, push troughs of dough and move around for a 8 hour shift period.
  • Must be capable of lifting 50 lb. bags of flour to a height of four feet off the floor.
  • Must be capable of operating all mixers in the processing area after being instructed as to their respective operation.
  • Must be capable of extracting the dough from the mixers by using a combination of “jogging” the mixer unit and pulling the dough out with your hands and into hoppers or troughs.
  • Must be capable of following formulas as set down by management and possess and average degree of mathematical skills.
  • Must be capable of using both manual and digital scales to weigh ingredients for the batches.
  • Must be able to report for work prior to the shift formally starting and ensuring a smooth transition between shifts via communication amongst the other mixers and supervisors.
  • Must alert and report any discrepancies in accepted/normal operating procedure or mechanical difficulties to the shift supervisor.
  • Must be capable of maintaining accurate and legible records of ingredients being used throughout the shift.
  • Must be capable of operating water meters after instruction and be able to adjust for climatic changes in the processing area.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Must maintain a neat and organized work area at all times.
  • Employee is reponsible for following (and/or implementing/supporting/maintaining) Good Manufacuring Practices, Food Defense, Food Safety and SQF programs.
