About The Position

A&J Property Restoration, a leader in the emergency response industry, has an immediate opening for a full-time Mitigation Technician in our Waukesha office. In this exciting, hands-on role, you’ll be making a real difference in the lives of families and business owners by leading recovery and rebuilding efforts after natural and man-made emergencies. This role will work closely with a field supervisor to respond to commercial and residential losses, such as water or fire damage, mold damage, and other immediate-response needs. Our technicians rotate on an On-Call schedule and are often required to work nights, and weekends. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to exercise good judgment while assessing, working, and reporting on onsite damages.

Requirements

H.S. Diploma or equivalent.
0 – 2 years of professional experience.
Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
Basic math, writing, and computer skills.
Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work nights and weekends (during emergencies)

Nice To Haves

General knowledge of carpet cleaning, fire/smoke damage, water damage mitigation and/or mold remediation practices
Construction background or basic understanding of general construction practices and principles

Responsibilities

With the Supervisor, assess and attend to various types of property damage.
Set up and monitor all equipment, ensuring proper maintenance of vehicles, equipment, and tools when necessary.
Act as the liaison between the client and supervisor, managing and reporting on the status of ongoing projects.
Photograph and document progress on ongoing projects.
Perform demolition (when necessary).
