About The Position

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Mitigation Project Manager to oversee mitigation projects from start to finish. This role is responsible for managing crews of technicians, coordinating job execution, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry and company standards. The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for clients, technicians, and internal leadership throughout the mitigation process.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in mitigation, restoration, construction, or a related field required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be eligible to operate a motor vehicle per company policy.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs when needed.
  • Ability to work in active job site environments, including water- or fire-damaged properties.
  • Willingness to assist in the field as needed to support crews.
  • Must be available for on-call rotation, nights, weekends, and occasional travel as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior leadership or crew management experience strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of water, fire, smoke, and mold mitigation processes.
  • IICRC certifications preferred (WRT required; ASD, AMRT a plus).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, schedule, and manage mitigation technicians across multiple active jobs.
  • Assign daily tasks, set expectations, and ensure crews are productive and compliant with scope.
  • Monitor job progress and timelines, adjusting staffing and resources as needed.
  • Conduct job site inspections to ensure quality, safety, and proper procedures are followed.
  • Oversee water extraction, structural drying, fire/smoke/mold mitigation, and demolition activities.
  • Ensure proper setup, monitoring, and documentation of drying and air filtration equipment.
  • Review moisture readings, drying plans, and mitigation strategies for accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Ensure all work aligns with IICRC standards and company best practices.
  • Ensure accurate and timely job documentation, including photos, notes, moisture logs, and daily reports.
  • Communicate scope, progress, and changes with office staff, estimators, and leadership.
  • Maintain compliance with safety protocols, insurance requirements, and internal procedures.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for homeowners, property managers, and adjusters when applicable.
  • Provide clear explanations of the mitigation process and set expectations professionally and empathetically.
  • Address concerns and resolve issues promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure technicians maintain clean, organized vehicles and equipment.
  • Verify equipment is properly deployed, tracked, and returned.
  • Enforce safety standards and proper use of PPE on all job sites.
