The Maryland Department of Information Technology (DoIT) is seeking a Major Information Technology Development Project (MITDP) Analyst to join the MITDP Oversight Division (MOD). This division is responsible for overseeing the State's Major Information Technology Development Projects, which are critical to the State's IT infrastructure and services. The MITDP Analyst will play a vital role in providing administrative support and conducting analyses that will help ensure the effective management and oversight of these projects. In this position, the Analyst will be tasked with producing regular and ad hoc analyses on the performance of the team and the MITDP portfolio. This includes developing and maintaining tools to collect both quantitative and qualitative data, as well as ensuring that all internal, instructional, and external documentation related to MOD's processes is accurate and user-friendly. The Analyst will also be responsible for leading process improvement projects and tracking the execution of various team initiatives, such as the delivery of annual appropriation letters. The role requires a strong focus on compliance with DoIT and MOD policies and processes, as well as adherence to project management best practices, including the Project Management Institute's (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and the State's Agile Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC). The Analyst will prepare key reports for leadership review, including the Monthly Health Assessment report and the annual MITDP Mid Year and End of Year Reports. Additionally, the Analyst will build and maintain systems for collecting and analyzing performance data, ensuring that feedback from MITDP-owning agencies is regularly gathered and utilized to improve project outcomes. Overall, the MITDP Analyst will be a critical contributor to the success of the MOD by ensuring that oversight practices are effectively implemented and that taxpayer funds are used responsibly to deliver high-quality services to users.
