About The Position

The Missions Coordinator, in collaboration with the Missions Director, serves to be a blessing to those in need throughout the areas and communities of Lakeside church. Driving such projects as the Food Distribution, Prison Ministry and Second Saturday Serve, the Missions Coordinator partners with staff and volunteers to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Requirements

• Compassionate heart to reach the lost, unchurched and wounded.
• Proven leadership experience serving with volunteers, preferably in ministry and/or non-profit service-oriented organization.
• Have a definite calling to the ministry of outreach.
• Ability to build and train volunteer teams.
• Effective delegating ability.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with people from various backgrounds.
• Ability to recruit new volunteers into the Outreach department.
• Ability to lead monthly Outreach events efficiently and effectively as needed with an eye see and mentor emerging leaders that would take on the leadership role.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Positive attitude and approach to problem solving.
• Must be solution oriented.
• Good conflict resolution skills.
• Proficient with Planning Center Online (PCO).
• Ability to create, analyze and maintain project budgets.
• Strong organizational and time management skills – responding to immediate needs of all sorts as they arise, flexible, versatile and capacity to work well with interruptions and distractions.
• Self-led with a pursuit of excellence through attention to detail and follow-up.
• High degree of integrity to be trusted with confidential information.
• Rooted and grounded in the gospel of Jesus Christ.
