About The Position

Mission Staff at Young Life involves training and direct field ministry experience to lead and participate in effective Young Life ministry. The role encompasses various ministry functions including spiritual development, leadership development, resource development, direct ministry, and ministry support. Staff members are expected to develop a personal growth plan, actively participate in the spiritual life of the Young Life community, and lead teams in spiritual development. They will also engage in recruiting and training new leaders, raise financial support, and manage ministry operations while adhering to Young Life policies.

Requirements

• Proven relational skills with both kids and adults.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• College degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop a yearly personal growth plan that fosters a vibrant spiritual life.
• Seek and maintain relationships within a church community.
• Actively participate in the spiritual life of the Young Life community.
• Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development.
• Meet with volunteer leaders and area leadership regularly.
• Recruit and train new leaders to build a leadership team.
• Model excellence in contact work, club, Campaigners, and camping.
• Assist in training leaders and develop a yearly ministry strategy.
• Raise financial support and maintain good donor care practices.
• Communicate ministry updates to personal donor partners.
• Network and develop strategic relationships with key adults in the community.
• Assist with camp fundraisers.
• Engage in all three levels of contact work.
• Lead a team to plan and conduct Young Life club and Campaigners.
• Implement a summer and school-season camping strategy.
• Serve on a summer assignment at a Young Life camp each year.
• Adhere to Young Life policies and maintain professionalism.
• Manage finances with stewardship and transparency.
• Maintain accurate information on kids, leaders, and donors.
• Provide clear and professional communication.
• Set yearly strategic ministry plans and review them regularly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
