About The Position

The Mission Services Coordinator is responsible for facilitating and monitoring individual program plans for Work Services participants, ensuring plans, goals, recordkeeping and reporting meet CARF standards and are in compliance with Agency policies. This position identifies and coordinates ancillary supports for all employees and targeted community members and reports to the Deputy Director of Workforce Development.

Requirements

  • BA Degree in Social Services or closely related field. AA plus years of experience may be substituted on a two-years for one-year basis.
  • Three (3) years’ experience providing case management and/or ancillary support services to individuals with barriers to employment.
  • Knowledge of goal setting, behavior modification techniques; knowledge of the world of work, demands of jobs, employers’ expectations, and worker traits necessary for competitive employment; techniques used in assisting individuals with barriers to employment adjust to the demands, requirements and expectations of the employer; techniques used in training individuals with barriers to employment; and ancillary services available in the community.
  • PC, laser printer, copier, multi-line telephone system with voice mail, smart phone. Office 365, Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications.
  • Ability to make presentations to groups.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse population including entry level employees, staff, managers, and members of the business community.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Ability to moderate high stress level situations.
  • Ability to foster good employee relations and work in cooperation with all agency departments at all levels while driving a culture of inclusion and engagement.
  • Ability to write reports and compile and analyze statistical data.
  • Must possess a valid California driver’s license, proof of insurance, and have access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide input to all Workforce Development policies.
  • Ensure policies and processes are aligned with CARF (accreditation) standards, grant and contractual requirements and based on best practices.
  • Assist in the development of Work Services Program (WSP) participant qualifications, referral agency responsibilities and onboarding practices.
  • Responsible for training management and liaison personnel regarding the Work Services Program and processes.
  • Responsible for developing and monitoring Individual Program Plans (IPP’s) for Work Services participants, ensuring development of SMART goals that meet participant’s individual needs and fit with the organization’s service program(s).
  • Maintains current information on community services available in all assigned counties and makes this information available to all agency team members.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining professional relationships with county human services staff, rehabilitation professionals and other individuals/organizations related to partnerships for provision of Mission services.
  • Facilitate the referral of employees to ancillary service supports in their local community to support the removal of barriers to employment.
  • Maintain records of referrals provided.
  • Facilitate and monitor an effective outcome measurement system which is used to improve program efficiency and effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of services provided in accordance with agency policy, CARF certification standards, contracts and grants.
  • Coordinate mission services throughout the agency to ensure consistency of program service quality.
  • Coordinate support services for targeted community members through partners and grant programs to drive increased department revenue
  • Ensure WSP participants have a voice in setting their own goals, reasonably increasing expectations to achieve enhanced job skills and increased job satisfaction.
  • Promote and ensure a safe work environment.
  • Instill proper safety attitudes.
  • Reinforce the need for timely accident reporting and adherence to the Agency’s safety program.
  • Responsible for preparation of monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual reports on people served.
  • Regular attendance is required to ensure that essential functions of the job are met.
  • Support community engagement efforts including co-ordination of donation drives which expand Goodwill’s outreach efforts and support funding of mission services.
  • Support and lead career development and life skills workshops as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Workforce Development and Director of HR.
