About The Position

Torch Technologies is seeking a Mission Planning Software Operational Test Engineer at Eglin AFB, FL to support the 28th Test and Evaluation Squadron. As a Mission Planning Software Operational Test Engineer your duties may include, but are not limited to: Develop, maintain, and execute test plans for Air Force Mission Planning System (MPS) including Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS), JMPS Open Mission Systems (JOMS), Life Cycle Upgrades, component replacements and support for a variety of aircraft and associated equipment. Draft and execute test plans under a USAF-appointed Project Manager and prepare test reports as required and other documentation as tasked. Provide test item configuration control functions over software, hardware, and documentation and will provide and maintain data for internal and test management systems – Develop, maintain and execute Platform Installations (PI), Flight Performance Model (FPM), and mobile Take-off and Landing Data (mTOLD) Follow-On OT&E/Validation test plans, including the development of test methodology and support software. Provide support for additional operational tests which affect mission planning systems, such as aircraft operational flight programs, provided such support does not interfere with automated mission planning systems operational test.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant mission planning and flight experience.
  • Former military aviator with experience as a qualified crewmember within the last fifteen years.
  • Must have and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Eligibility Security Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in one of the following: B-1, B-52 , mTOLD mission planning software test experience
