About The Position

INTECON, LLC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mobility Air Forces (MAF) Mission Planning Requirements Analyst to provide subject matter expertise and requirements management support for Air Mobility Command (AMC) Mission Planning Systems (MPS) Capability Drop-4 (CD-4). This role will directly support AMC’s mission planning modernization efforts, helping to define, document, and deliver capabilities critical to global air mobility operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in mission planning, requirements development, or operational analysis within the Department of Defense, with specific experience supporting Air Force or joint mission planning systems (JMPS, JOMS, NOMS, or MAFPS).
  • Demonstrated experience drafting, coordinating, and finalizing capability development documents and related technical/operational documentation.
  • Defining and documenting requirements for complex DoD systems.
  • Air Mobility Command operations and mission planning processes.
  • Mission planning software tools (JMPS, JOMS, NOMS, or equivalent).
  • Microsoft SharePoint and Teams for collaboration and workflow management.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Operations Research, or Aeronautics.
  • Professional certification in Business Analysis or Requirements Management (e.g., PMI-PBA, IIBA CBAP) preferred.
  • Security+ or CISSP preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and evaluate operational requirements for MAF mission planning systems and identify areas for enhancement or modernization.
  • Document, clarify, and prioritize user requirements from active duty, Guard, Reserve, and other DoD stakeholders.
  • Support the development and coordination of capability documents, operational concepts, use cases, scenarios, and testing metrics to advance MAF MPS CD-4.
  • Facilitate communication between AMC stakeholders, developers, and functional communities to ensure requirements are well understood, testable, and achievable.
  • Participate in requirements working groups, program reviews, and coordination meetings to represent user needs and support decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain clear documentation, ensuring timely submission and minimal rework.
  • Assist in defining operational test criteria and support test activities to validate mission planning system capabilities.
