About The Position

MAG Aerospace is seeking a Mission Planner to provide airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) mission planning and execution support for various operations, including training missions and exercises. The role involves developing, preparing, and certifying mission plans for both routine and wartime operations, as well as managing GPS mapping tiles for sensor targeting requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting DoD weapon systems and will be responsible for ensuring effective mission planning and execution.

Requirements

  • Four and a half years of experience with Air defense Systems, Electronic Warfare, and other national, international and theater-level threat system capabilities.
  • Aviation experience (Weapons Systems Officer, pilot co-pilot, etc).
  • High School Diploma.

Nice To Haves

  • LO operational experience through direct support, test or training environments within the last two years.
  • Experience with other LO ISR platforms such as RQ-170, F-117, B-2.

Responsibilities

  • Review, develop, prepare, certify and save mission plans for routine test, peacetime and wartime operations, training (aircraft and simulator), exercise, routine planning/training.
  • Identify threats and survivability for proper decision making to best meet mission objectives.
  • Provide technical support and guidance on effective planning and employment of LO ISR assets.
  • Perform Deliberate Planning and Crisis Action Planning utilizing available mission planning tools.
  • Provide mission planning support to cover the scope of operations based on weekly published mission schedule.
  • Liaise with the System Program Office (SPO), staff, other DoD organizations, and mission planning experts.
  • Review and advise on conceptual operational plans quarterly.
  • Provide training and refresher training to aircrew and unit personnel.
  • Advise and recommend options to manage and improve LO ISR mission planning processes and procedures.
  • Provide advisory support to unit-led LO ISR related exercises, tests, experimentation and table top events.
  • Provide expertise in the development, planning, establishment, and implementation of a LO ISR mission planning training program.
  • Support program management reviews and other working groups.
