Position Purpose: The Mission Operations Engineer II is a mid-level engineer responsible for executing and supporting satellite mission operations with general supervision and increased autonomy. This role contributes to all phases of the satellite life cycle-including pre-launch planning, commissioning, nominal operations, anomaly response, and decommissioning-typically in support of multiple missions. This position is expected to take operational responsibility for specific mission support functions-such as contact planning, telemetry analysis, scripting, or anomaly resolution-and to contribute to routine customer communications. The role includes supporting the development and maintenance of operational tools, procedures, and automation frameworks. It also offers opportunities to lead scoped initiatives and drive improvements across operational workflows.
