About The Position

Mission Managers collaborate directly with U.S. and allied government customers to design and deliver AI solutions in secure, high -impact environments. You’ll guide programs from requirements validation through solution design, prototyping, and deployment. Working alongside Applied Engineers, AI Researchers, and fellow Mission Managers, you will translate complex operational challenges into concrete technical roadmaps and outcomes. This role blends technical acumen with customer -facing leadership. The strongest candidates demonstrate analytical thinking, user empathy, and the ability to structure ambiguous problems while driving execution.

Requirements

  • Passion for solving complex, real -world government mission challenges through AI.
  • Low ego and strong sense of purpose, prioritizing mission outcomes above personal recognition.
  • Skill in framing vague problems and communicating solutions clearly to both technical and operational audiences.
  • Hands -on proficiency in scripting/programming (Python, SQL, or TypeScript) for tool -building, debugging, or analysis.
  • Adaptability to shifting priorities in a fast -paced, mission -driven startup environment.
  • Strong communication skills to engage directly with government officers, stakeholders, and users.
  • 2+ years of experience in high -reliability or secure technical environments.
  • Active U.S. Top Secret (or higher) security clearance required.
  • Experience implementing AI or machine learning products, ideally in secure or government -facing contexts.
  • Strong background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Data Science.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript for AI/ML product development.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure -as -code (e.g., Pulumi, Terraform).
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management, especially with government partners.
  • Ability to connect technical detail with mission -level outcomes.
  • Deep alignment with our mission and values.
  • Traits to avoid: candidates without true hands -on technical or mission delivery experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Military academy training or advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leading problem discovery and scoping sessions with government partners, often on -site.
  • Deploying AI models and products in secure customer environments or integrating customer software with cloud -based systems.
  • Collaborating with engineers to design, test, and scale LLM -powered solutions tailored to government use cases.
  • Optimizing model performance through prompt tuning or fine -tuning, often in partnership with customer subject matter experts.
  • Analyzing request logs, prompt data, and outputs to ensure reliability, security, and mission effectiveness.
