About The Position

At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable. As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will lead the New Glenn execution of external customer contracts. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of New Glenn launch vehicle development. Requirements

  • B.S. in Engineering field
  • 8+ years managing complex, multi-disciplinary, fast-paced, aerospace projects
  • 5+ years industry experience in launch system or satellite operations
  • Ability to travel within U.S. and abroad
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

  • Top Secret clearance with current SSBI & SCI Eligibility, preferred
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, team building, and people management skills
  • Experience in development of launch vehicles
  • Experience in working with government customers

Responsibilities

  • Lead both internal and external facing technical projects from proposal through completion
  • Work closely with launch operations and launch systems groups to ensure the successful integration of payload requirements: Primary point of contact for mission integration and launch contracts
  • Integration of customer requirements and development of mission Interface Control Document
  • Program leadership to ensure payload system requirement validation and implementation with the technical teams
  • Interface with external customers through the mission integration phase and ensuring excellent customer experience
  • Manage large complex tasks and a myriad of teams
  • Management of regulatory requirements such as FAA/ITAR/Range
  • Support Business Development interactions with external customers leading to mission integration and launch contracts
  • Lead spacecraft integration and launch contracts ensuring Blue Origin commitments are met on time, on budget, and with success
  • Integrate customer requirements into New Glenn development and launch services
  • Lead all payload-to-launch vehicle integration meetings and mission readiness reviews
  • Participate in proposal and contract development
  • Develop resource-loaded mission Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and coordinate progress with customer
