About The Position

Torch Technologies is seeking a Mission Data Systems Engineer (SME level) to join a team to assist 23rd EWS, 350th Spectrum Warfare Group, 350th Spectrum Warfare Wing (350 SWW), at Eglin AFB, Florida. The 350 SWW is the technical focal point for all electronic warfare (EW) support of warfighter systems for the Combat Air Forces (CAF). The mission of the 350 SWW is to develop and test mission data (MD) to defeat enemy radar and infrared guided missile systems, thus enhancing aircrew and aircraft survivability in combat. This mission includes operational EW testing, MD development/validation/verification, force development evaluation execution and facilitating foreign materiel exploitation. As a Mission Data Systems Engineer, your duties will include the following, but are not limited to: Functions as senior EW system engineer and technical lead for mission data (MD) design, development, testing, evaluation, and engineering on the applicable EW systems Serves as lead engineer/team manager during major EW System operational test and evaluation Functions as senior system project engineer in performing advanced systems engineering and hardware/software applications/design for EW equipment or devices Senior engineer with project management responsibility to direct/conduct research and development demonstrations for complex Electromagnetic Warfare systems Gather, interpret, and program emitter definitions using MIST, SPECTRE, and other relevant software referencing applicable intel sources Understand and program other ancillary Radar Warning Receiver parameters Experience programing and running electromagnetic environment simulations, A2APTS and CEESIM desired Interpret test results and translate to ability to meet customer objectives Ability to build prototype tools to support efforts in suitable languages such as Matlab, Python, and/or Java desired Collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure mission data design, development, and testing meets customer requirements Provide training for less senior staff to enable them to contribute to the mission Ability to write code that supports MD reprogramming process Assists with test planning, test execution, and data analysis of laboratory, ground, and flight test activities in accordance with approved plans and guidance.
