About The Position

In the Coordinator role, you will work with the Supervisor and Team Lead to drive results on key metrics including safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity. You will provide leadership by promoting teamwork, delivery of materials, and providing proactive resolution to production needs. You will coordinate material for your designated area as well and between areas to meet scheduled ship dates. You will review and update the status of orders and materials with manufacturing supervisors, material control personnel, and people in work areas, customer service, and KanBan expeditors. Includes regularly scheduled multi-functional production meetings which vary from once a week to daily depending on area(s) of responsibility. You will review orders and associated documentation (drawings, travel documents, bills of material) as needed to ensure the team has the appropriate information to complete the job and to assist with troubleshooting problems with the order documentation. You will utilize the computer, including Microsoft Excel, DMM, AS400, and the Material Synchronization Spreadsheet, to maintain control of floor stock and floor records. You will promote a safe, engaged and inclusive work culture by proactively addressing and resolving concerns and escalating issues to your supervisor as appropriate. You will process surplus, rejected, and/or defective material according to procedures. You will problem solve manufacturing information by identifying missing and incorrect items. Attend the Tier meeting, check and update emails, and log into required systems (DMM, Enovia, AS400). Review production tasks, including checking turnbacks, the Kanban list, crane sheets, and SPCs on the brake and/or punches; also identify past-due parts and monitor the sidesheet list. You will act as a back-up Team Lead if needed, ensuring continuity in leadership and operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing or materials processing experience required.
  • Prior work experience using a computer, including competence in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, and Excel) required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
  • Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of (enter location) will be considered.
  • Willing to work flexible hours and overtime in support of business needs.
  • Must work somewhat independently and make decisions that affect the workgroup.
  • Focus efforts on attaining assigned goals and objectives, which include meeting needs and expectations of internal and external customers.

  • 1 year of leadership experience managing people, project teams, or previous coordinator experience is strongly preferred.
