About The Position

The Mission Critical Engineer I is an entry-level, hands-on operations role supporting daily data center reliability, uptime, and facility performance. This role learns core mission critical fundamentals and supports senior engineers through troubleshooting events, routine rounds, documentation, and preventative maintenance activities.

Requirements

• Curiosity to learn mission critical systems and pursue growth in the trade
• Ability to work in a disciplined operations environment

Nice To Haves

• Basic mechanical/electrical aptitude preferred
• Military / trade school / technical school background is a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled rounds, inspections, and data logging of critical electrical/mechanical systems
• Assist in responding to alarms, alerts, and system abnormalities
• Support PMs under supervision (CRAHs, fan walls, UPS, switchgear, chiller plant, pumps, etc.)
• Learn and support proper escalation, notification, and event documentation standards
• Assist with vendor escorting and work oversight
• Maintain tool safety, site cleanliness, lockout/tagout discipline, and basic troubleshooting practices
