About The Position

The Mission Critical Oracle Database Product Management team seeks a high-energy, experienced professional interested in working with like-minded people on high availability (HA), scalability, disaster recovery, continuous availability, and related topics. The team is comprised of a group of top-quality, high-energy, and highly experienced professionals, who handle the product management responsibilities for all the availability, data protection and scalability aspects involving the Oracle Database and the Oracle Database Cloud Services as well as the continuous availability of applications using those. Database products and functionalities that the team is directly responsible for include Data Guard, Active Data Guard, Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Automatic Storage Management and Oracle Clusterware as well as the HA interactions with Oracle Applications and Oracle Fusion Middleware, including Application Continuity. Requirements

  • BS / MS in Computer Science or related technical degree
  • Excellent written, communication / presentation, analytical, time management, and teamwork skills
  • Balanced mix of applications and database administration skills, along with relevant cloud experience
  • Experience in dealing with a broad spectrum of IT audience – ranging from CTO/CIO to database, systems, network, and storage administrators
  • Strong inter-personal skills – ability to effectively deal with various internal groups as well as external customers in high intensity situations
  • This position is based in Oracle’s Redwood Shores, California office, with flexibility for other U.S. locations.
  • The role includes occasional domestic and international travel as needed.
  • Visa and work authorization transfers are supported.
