SAIC is seeking a part-time college intern to support our NASA Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) customer in Fairmont WV. The candidate will provide support to strengthen institutional readiness, enhance security awareness, and ensure compliance with agency and federal requirements. This work will directly contribute to IV&V's mission assurance posture and align local policies with NASA's enterprise standards.

  • Lead the development of IV&V's updated Continuity of Operations Plan using the new NASA agency-wide template.
  • Ensure the plan encompasses all IV&V functions, facilities, and personnel.
  • Deliver a draft plan ready for leadership review and integration into IV&V's broader emergency preparedness framework.
  • Develop and implement a new OPSEC training initiative in alignment with the National Security Presidential Memorandum.
  • Provide updated guidance to ensure all IV&V personnel understand their responsibilities under mandatory OPSEC requirements.
  • Support delivery of training to staff and assist in evaluating compliance and awareness outcomes.
  • Participate in CNSI-related training to establish foundational knowledge.
  • Review and update CNSI-related policies and procedures maintained by the Strategic Communications Office (SCO).
  • Ensure revisions align with current federal and agency standards while supporting operational needs.
  • High School Diploma-Completed third year of a 4 year relevant degree program at an accredited college.
  • Related degree fields/programs include Criminology, Cybersecurity, and Forensics.
  • Active Public Trust Clearance.
  • Prior internship with NASA.
  • Verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Professionalism, strong work ethic, creativity, curiosity, problem solving, critical thinking.
