About The Position

The position involves managing the receipt, processing, storage, issuance, shipping, and control of hazardous and non-hazardous materials and equipment within Lockheed Martin's SWF Warehouses and associated facilities. The role requires certification of shipments, compliance with federal and military regulations, and performing various warehouse functions to support the FBM program.

Requirements

  • Must possess and maintain appropriate licenses and certifications for warehouse operations.
  • Knowledge of operations of the LM SWF warehouses and Small Ordnance Magazines (SOMs).
  • Ability to use equipment such as portable power saws, drills, and common carpenter hand tools.
  • Ability to perform calculations related to volume, distance, weight, and units of quantity.
  • Ability to read documents and research necessary information in federal manuals and company documents.
  • Must have ability to use computers and barcode scanners for required tasks.
  • Ability to access Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP).
  • Must possess a valid State driver's license.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 24 months of satisfactory performance and experience as a Missile Material Handler Senior.

  • Experience in inventory management of stocking/issuing materials and equipment.
  • Ability to perform database operations such as data entry and printing labels.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office-Word and Excel.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to operate a box truck with gross vehicle weight up to 26,000 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, process, store, issue, ship, and control hazardous and non-hazardous materials and equipment.
  • Certify shipments of hazardous materials and flight hardware for off-base destinations.
  • Prepare reusable Packaging Data Sheet (PDS) containers for use or shipment.
  • Perform functional adequacy inspections and package items for shipment, storage, or transfer.
  • Stock, kit, and issue material and process-controlled inventory receipts and associated paperwork.
  • Perform material location maintenance, scheduled inventories, and location changes as necessary.
  • Package and unpackage major missile segments and perform associated handling as necessary.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to less experienced employees in their duties.
  • Perform routine warehouse functions such as checking nomenclature, quantity, and other descriptive information for accuracy.
  • Perform review and closure of data systems updates for stocking, kitting, and issuing material.
