About The Position

The Plumbing Supervisor will oversee plumbing operations and maintenance in support of the U.S. Department of State's operations in Iraq. This role involves supervising a plumbing team, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and performing various plumbing tasks related to installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in multiple facilities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Plumber vocational diploma or completion of an apprentice program with a Journeyman License or equivalent experience.
  • Two years' experience as a Master Plumber or ten years' experience as a Journeyman Plumber.
  • Three years' supervisory experience in the plumbing trade.
  • Experience with various piping materials including CPVC, PVC, PEX, copper, galvanized steel, and brass.
  • U.S. Citizenship and valid U.S. Passport with at least one year of validity remaining.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
  • Possession of a U.S. Government issued Secret security clearance or favorable USG Moderate Risk Public Trust certification.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe workplace and prioritize safety in all operations.
  • Provide supervision and leadership for the plumbing team.
  • Perform plumbing installations, maintenance, and repairs according to applicable codes and industry standards.
  • Manage daily work schedules and track preventative maintenance.
  • Plan and estimate labor and materials for future plumbing projects.
  • Order materials and equipment needed for plumbing operations.
  • Maintain accurate records for safety meetings, work hours, and inventory of materials and tools.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
  • Coordinate with other trades to avoid conflicts in plumbing work.
