Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for an IT Business Operations Systems Lead, supporting TOS II, at Arnold Air Force Base, TN. The IT Business Operations Systems Lead will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for company IT systems supporting the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts. Open to internal and external candidates. The selected candidate for this requisition may be required to occasionally (e.g. outage and application upgrades) work outside normal business hours. Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) is the team selected by the U.S. Air Force to conduct Test and Operations Sustainment at the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) at Arnold Air Force Base in Tennessee. AEDC operates more than 55 aerodynamic and propulsion wind tunnels, rocket and turbine engine test cells, space environmental chambers, arc heaters, ballistic ranges and other specialized units located in six states. Many of the complex's test units have capabilities unmatched elsewhere in the United States; some are unique in the world. AEDC is one of three installations which are part of the Air Force Test Center (AFTC), one of six subordinate commands of the Air Force Materiel Command organization, and an important national resource. AEDC’s mission is to conduct developmental test and evaluation for the Nation through modeling, simulation, and ground and flight test. Execution of the mission requires a large team of highly qualified and dedicated professionals from multiple technical disciplines to effectively accomplish the objectives of our test customers.

  • Primary role as the Information Technology (IT) Business Operations Systems Lead responsible for the administration of company IT systems in support of Business Operations.
  • Responsible for BNH company cybersecurity program and oversight of NIST SP 800-171 (Including Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC)) certification and compliance.
  • Ensure smooth, efficient, and secure functioning of BNH company’s IT systems by overseeing daily operations, managing infrastructure, and implementing strategies to support business goals.
  • Manage daily operations: Oversee the day-to-day activities, which will include managing help desks and support staff to ensure technology is running smoothly.
  • Maintain IT infrastructure: responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliability of company's servers, networks, and other hardware and software.
  • Responsible for maintaining and administering the BNH Microsoft Azure GCCH tenant
  • Implement and strategize: Develop and implement IT strategies that align with business objectives, which may involve acquiring new technology, creating operational policies, and managing budgets.
  • Ensure security and recovery: Implement measures to secure the IT environment and manage disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in case of failure.
  • Possibility of managing vendors and projects: Coordinate with third-party vendors, manage contracts, and oversee projects related to IT systems and services.
  • Reports to the MIS Technical Director for all related responsibilities
  • Member of the Configuration Change Board (CCB)
  • Develop, Implement and maintain policies/procedures pertaining to Information Technology and BNH company IT systems
  • Evaluate and implement necessary IT requirements to be compliant with Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), CMMC or other audits.
  • Support the use of common work processes and procedures within assigned function across the TOS contract.
  • Periodically evaluates process and program effectiveness and takes action to maintain continuous improvement.
  • Follows all safety rules and procedures and contributes to the safety of co-workers and the general public.
  • Willing and able to follow instructions, assist in training of co-workers, and cooperate with other employees, customers and contractors.
  • It is a condition of employment to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • BS degree in Computer Engineering, Science, or Information Systems and 8 to 10 years of progressive and relevant experience or any equivalent combination of relevant education and progressive and relevant experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and the AEDC local area network.
  • Current U. S. Citizenship required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Government Azure GCCH virtual infrastructure or other Cloud platforms
  • Experience with Microsoft products that include Office 365, OneDrive, SharePoint, Windows OS, PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience with installation, configuration and troubleshooting: Windows OS workstation/server environments, device management, Intune, Identity & Access Management, Multi Factor Authentication, hardware, software, patching, and Active Directory.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python).
  • Experience with NIST SP 800-171 certification/assessments and/or DoD/Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Development and maintenance of System Security Plans.
  • Skilled at building and maintaining personnel and customer relationships.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
