About The Position

The Shift Assistant at Minot AFB is responsible for the shift operation of an Exchange branch facility. Requirements

• Completion of high school or the equivalent.
• Retail experience.
• Demonstrated willingness and potential for additional responsibility.
• If applicable, must successfully complete the management compliance course number 175S within three months of occupying the position.

Responsibilities

• Provides high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
• Greets each customer upon contact, assesses their needs, suggests alternative options, and provides solution resolution.
• Creates a welcoming environment, actively engages, and builds trust relationships with customers to deliver a personalized shopping experience.
• Utilizes superior sales skills to serve customers and adheres to merchandise presentation standards.
• Arranges space on the sales floor, sets up promotional fixtures, displays promotional merchandise, and maintains shelf labels.
• Keeps sales area fully stocked, receives and orders merchandise, checks gas levels, and assists with military uniform dress requirements.
• Operates a cash register or other sales-related equipment to enter new accounts, sales transactions, refunds, and prepares change funds.
• Maintains compliance in all aspects of recordkeeping, inventory, storage/display, and sales.
• Actively communicates/promotes the benefits of the Military Star credit card and other corporate programs to customers.
• Ensures compliance with fire, safety, sanitation, and security regulations.
• Practices loss prevention procedures and alerts security and management of potential problems.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
